Indie Craft Experience Studio in Candler Park
1390 McLendon Ave NE, Atlanta 30307
On occasion we might take a neighborhood walk for the purpose of observing, sketching, fresh air, a new perspective, and viewing public art. The furthest away that we will ever walk is 1/2 a mile.
10 maximum per age group.
$160 per session.
Your child is welcome to eat a quick snack during the first 10 minutes of art club if you'd like to send a snack with them. Please no candy or sweets. Everyone should bring a water bottle with their name on it. Please have your camper wear comfortable shoes (we might take an occasional short walk through the neighborhood). Art projects tend to get messy! Please send your child in clothes that can get messed up or provide them with a smock.
Christy Bardis Petterson and Shannon Mulkey Green founded the Indie Craft Experience in 2005, a craft and vintage market in Atlanta that has helped launch hundreds of small businesses. They are both Atlanta natives, arts educators, and craft extraordinaires. Christy and Shannon are both Teaching Artists at the High Museum of Art, have been selected to participate as artists in Art on the BeltLine in Atlanta, and have collaborated with Dashboard Co-op. Their award-winning art and craft market has been featured in Creative Loafing, Atlanta Magazine, BuzzFeed, Apartment Therapy, and Design Sponge. They recently returned from an adventure in Mexico where they learned natural plant-based dye techniques from a magical woman named Juana.
If you have more than one child you'd like to register, you must fill out the form for each child so that we get individual information about them.
